Membership Requirements

Membership in Bitterroot Pony Club is a significant commitment. Members represent the club at all times, in all places and during all activities. Only members in good standing are eligible for rally participation, consideration for national competitions, and rating advancement.

An active participating member of BPC must:

	Be between ages 7 (unless mature enough to take instruction for one hour as determined by the DC) and may remain a member until December 31st of their 21st year.
	Have paid all local, regional and national dues.
	Have yearly Medical Release Forms on files.

A member in good standing is defined as someone who:

	Abides by the BPC Policy Manual
	Is prompt to all sponsored events, mounted and unmounted
	Listens carefully and speaks respectfully to peers and adults
	Encourages and supports other members
	Participates in at least one fund-raiser
	Dresses appropriately for mounted activities
	Arrives prepared and gives undivided attention to instruction during riding lessons
	Is prepared for unmounted lessons through reading, research, etc. and completes assignments
	Attends at least 50% of all sponsored mounted and unmounted meetings.
